You can buy the film from autozone or other parts stores for around $30. Almost certain that the first timer will fail (meaning bubbles), you may be better off to have a shop to do it for you for $85-120 in SoCal.
If you do it right, it'll not bubble for life long
it can be diy, but need skills/experience. The brand I used and it's good is Gila. I used 20% all around limo dark.
