My job is to examine property damage claims and decide whether to pay out or not. Company does not like to pay out. They will decline if you can not prove it's quality issue. On the other side, they are afraid of persistent customers because each phone call or written report costs their money, more than $2200. So what you may do is
a) ask Honda to provide a written report to tell you under what conditions the failure can happen, if it's not quality issue. It will cost them a lot of resource.
b) You need to threaten them that you will go to the court. Usually court fee and trip fee cost more than $2200
c) You need to find a agent to prove that the failure is quality issue
Sometime we spend more than what the claims are to decline the claims, very frustated. So you can try some tricks.
