rumor says it is CRUISE CONTROL malfunction

it makes some sense, because 1996 Camry had that problem, caused multiple deaths, was recalled, and probably was silenced by toyota lawyers.

then toyota now has multiple models with SUA or run-away suicide-attack cars, big and small, sedan and SUV. CRUISE CONTROL is said to be a common component among different toyota models.

therefor, if it is indeed CRUISE CONTROL malfunction problem, maybe we can even do something on our own or by some non-toyota repair people, such as pull the fuse for CC if there is one. Just a thought, not responsible if you get in trouble. Drive safe, stop safer.
