Oops, sorry, I thought you meant X5

Sorry, I thought you meant X5 by "bmw5四驅". A friend of mine just asked me about X5/GX470 yesterday.
So, is this about 2007/08 BMW 525xi vs Lexus GS 430? I don't have hands-on experience with those two sedans but I would pick GS 430 if I were going to purchase it and try to keep it for as long as I could. The reason behind this is Lexus's reliability out weighs the BMW's enjoyment of driving experience over 5+ years of daily commute.

Leasing is a great option to enjoy a better vehicle hassle-free without long-term commitment. (of course extra cost and some strings attached) - For example, say, for the next 6 years you have 40,000 budget to spend on a vehicle, you can use it all to purchase a 2010 Lexus ES and drive it 'till it dies; or you can use the first 20,000 to lease a 2010 BMW 328i xDrive for 3 years, and in year 2013, you use the remaining 20,000 to lease a 2013 Mercedes C350 for another 3 years until 2016. It's a trade-off and balance between 6-year hassle-free driving enjoyment and the after-6-year residual value of the vehicle purchased. (don't forget after 6 years your kids are already out of montessori's into public school which will give you extra to keep spending ... :)

It seems like you've already had the vehicle you NEED (Odyssey/Sienna), now it's time to get the one you WANT! - So, go out, test drive both, twice, in different dealers.

Try Audi A4 as well.
