數字至少1億,方式是“Delaying the rules”,豐田自稱“Wins for Toyota”。還列舉了其它掩蓋安全問題的例子。

Feb. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Toyota Motor Corp. saved $100 million through a “negotiated” recall of cars, according to a document sent to a U.S. congressional committee probing the automaker and regulators’ handling of defects.

In other accomplishments described as “Wins for Toyota” the carmaker said it reduced or delayed the effect of proposed rules on roofs, door locks and protection in side-impact crashes, according to the document that was turned over to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and obtained yesterday. Delaying the rules was credited with saving about $135 million.
