Who are the experts in this? (Toyota Highlander Incident)

I am amazed how stubborn some people are on this forum. Without any qualification, they would disclaim an explanation without further thinking. The group of people I know are the world-leading engineers in this area. If they are not the experts, then there are not many people in this world can claim that.

- Part of their job is to test all kinds of vehicles (including SVUs) at different test sites, including Rubicon Trails (have you heard of this at all? 12 miles, 2 days), Palm Springs Desert, Hokkaidō (Japan), Nürburgring (Germany), to name a few.

- Their tests including ABS, TCS, and VCS performance on ice, in snow, SUV off-road capabilities (including HILL CLIMB), SUV roll-over possibilities (Fishhook test - any one has ever tried to drive to flip his SUV?)

- They have gone through special driving schools to learn how to drive the cars to their limits. And driving like that is just part of their job.

- To eliminate some people's doubt, they DON'T work for Toyota, and have no incentives to support Toyota.

If you have comparable qualification, you are welcome to discuss this further more. But that will be a technical discussion.

Again, people just choose to see what they want to see, and discard any information that does not quite fit into their way of thinking. Some of them will question the motives of other people who offer different opinions. The truth is that the motives of those people are not as low as you might think. So why not stop speculating, and really use your brain to think harder? This forum should not have only one-sided opinion, or it will offer biased information. Healthy discussion will improve everyone's knowledge and speak intelligently.
