1. Technician may have dis-engaged the daytime running lights (DRLs). For some models you can turn on and turn off DRLs. For others, they always stay on and can not be turned off. You should be able to switch it back. Check with the manual;
2. Set-Hold-time may be right. It’s called dimmer. It’s a whale you can turn to make it from OFF to LOW-HIGH continuously. If you turn further, you will hear a click and it’s locked in brightest position and the brightness of the instrument panel will not change when you turn on or off the head lights. If it’s on LOW-HIGH position before the click, it will dim when you turn on the head lights and brighten when you turn off the head lights.
