do a tune-up (change spark plugs, r&r air filter, check spark cables, etc). To find out exactly the cause of engine error, if you are not in california, you can go to autozone and ask them to give a free code reading.

to clean up injectors, go to autozone buy a bottle of concentrated injector cleaner, follow the instruction... gumout is a good brand.

after all above done and it's still showing check engine light on, you might need to take the injectors out to clean
