A Cayman S optioned out will be well into the 70's but you may get a base model in 50-60k range (I assume you are buying new). It's not a muscle car, so you pay for the handling not raw power. It's VERY loud due to its engine placement (under your butt) so you may not like it after a test drive and a female sitting beside you may not appreciate it for a ride.
SLK is a sports car looking convertible that is comfortable for daily driving. If that's what you are looking for, there are other choices from audi/bmw or some japanese brands.
Don't take advice from brand fanboys and internet bench drivers and go out test drive enough models before making up your mind. It's your money and this is a decision you can make best. Good luck.
