Most american name brand tires are expensive, but you can get the same quality tires with less brand acquaintence with less money. Look at those:

Falken ZE-912 (for ex. 205/65/15 you can get $48/each in Cal)
Sumitomo HTH4 (same maker as above, same price - I recently purchased a set of 4 total $190 carried out of door)

These are good ones, my another car has been using Sumitomo for past 4 years and still going. They are 92H rated, with 65kmi warranty. Per your location, not sure how much you can get though.... Good luck!
