Between my wife and I we owned 12 cars, 1 GM Olds, 1 Toyota, 3 Nissans, 1 Honda, 1 MB S, 2 BMW 7series, 3 Audis. The conculsion: The cheapest Japanese cars have better quality than the most expensive German cars. The worst quality Japanese car has better quality than German cars. I think you should buy Japanese cars if you pay yourself.

It's hard to comment on Japanese cars if you never owned or really compared those two.
