You are in a tricky situation. You met a family having nothing (or a little thing) to lose. You have two options:

a) Accept the 200$ offer and never repair your car.
b) Call your insurance company and pay everything yourself (or pay more at the end if you ask your insurance company to pay this time). In the meantime, upgrade their status from "no insurance" to "no license."
