Any one who had studied English grammar thoroughly could point these out instantly -

(1) "a little" and "little" have opposite meanings ( "a few" and "few" have similar effect but used for countable objects). For example:

It snows a little in winter here --> 這裏冬天下點兒雪
It snows little in winter here --> 這裏冬天幾乎不下雪

(2) "any other" and "any others" both are correct expressions.

"any other" equals to "another" but emphasizes "any". In OP, "any other" was short for "any other gas", which is perfectly fine. "other" is an adjective here.

William Shakespeare's play "Romeo and Juliet" has a sentence 'A rose by any other name would smell as sweet'.

"any others" is a correct format too, but "others" represents plural nouns. For example:

A teacher said in the class, "John, Matt and any others, stand up if you haven't done the homework".
