No problem, your wife was covered. Generally insurance coverage follows the vehicle primarily and driver secondarily, which means the first insurance company (your car insurance company) will have to pay on a claim and then the insurance of the driver (your wife) would be involved if the primary coverage is not enough to cover everything.
