Latest news has that Geely will work with a Swedish firm to buy Volvo together, with a price tag of around 2b Euros.

Target date is end of this year.

Ford has substantially slowed down the sale of Volvo because Ford sees the value in the brand so it does not want a fire sale. Besides, Ford has no immediate need of (extra) cash.
