You should go to edmunds.com to input your zipcode. edmunds will give me a TMV based on your local zipcode. It is a good starting point to negotiate with your local dealership. I will ask the dealer to cut another $500-$1000 off from TMV. Because TMV is an average number based on the same vehicles the dealers sold in your local area. It is normal to ask dealer to give a little bit more discount from TMV.
Normally, it is easier for you to negotiate with dealer when it is the end of the month. So you should go to dealership again around 08/29/2009 or 08/30/2009.
