Traffic ticket, help!!!

My LG got a speeding ticket about 2 months ago. The court date was set to 9/1 and no need to go to court. But he didn't receive any ticket and payment information in mail. He tried online system and that system can't find his ticket by either search ticket or serach by license. What should he do? If he don't pay now, will they increase the fine? Also how do we know how much to pay?
