It has been quite some time that my 300SDL vibrated in over 75 mph, particlularly reflected on steering wheel, feeling like the car was gonna fall apart. I replaced engine mounts and struts, rebalanced tires 3 times, did 4 wheel alignment, changed guide rod bushings, I even thought to buy a set of new high quality Michelin tires although my Good Year tires still had 70% left...
I was pulling my hair out trying to find out what was wrong _:mad: _:'(
Until a few days ago I checked my tie rod ends and noticed a small play. Yesterday I replaced tie rods and drag link, bingo, all the shaking is gone... Total parts cost is $43.
Why I didn't think over there in first place? Because I'm a DUFUS_:$
I feel like such a dufus...

• roughly, after you replace tie rod, you have to do alignment aga -coorslight969- ♂ (0 bytes) () 07/13/2009 postreply 19:13:57
