In my view, the safest solution is not determined by the type of cars, but by the driving skills. Spending 300$ to have your driving skills and habits reviewed by an AAA/CAA certified driving school can benefit safety for life time. I know some drivers who had never been involved in any accident, attributed to their excellent driving skills and habits.
