Let's assume it all happens on the same transmission,
at the first gear.

At low RPM,
A flat torque curve translate into a horsepower curve
roughly like
HP=CONSTANT*RPM

A ^ torque curve translate into a horsepower curve
roughly like
HP=CONSTANT*RPM*RPM

The flat torque engine (engine #1) increase power linearly with RPM,
while ^ torque engine (engine #2) increase power exponentialy with RPM.

So in the beginning, engine#1 provide more power
than engine#2, as rpm increases, engine#2 increased
power faster than engine#1 and eventually will
provide bigger power.

In the original talk, I guess we meant is

馬力金 means peak horsepower rules
力矩牛 means torque curve (shape) counts

Since 力矩 馬力 一家人, I think the new
slogan will be
力矩 馬力 一家人, 一樣牛

meaning

1. torque curve rules
2. horse curve rules
3. torque curve and horse curve are the same, just
different epxression of the same thing. They can
translate to each other easily:
horsepower=torque*rpm
