110k Miles is not too much if you maintain the car properly

First of all,visually check the tail pipe. Do you see blue smoke coming out of it? If yes, the car probably will fail the test.

Next, smell the exhaust (not for too long). you can have a rough idea how the fuel is burning.

You can probably find some products in Wal-mart or other auto parts which you can add to your gas tank to help you pass the smog test. If I remembered correctly, some of them even guarantee your money back if you fail the test.

If you haven't done already, do a tune up.

Drive the car until engine is fully warmed up before you take the test.
