Since I did not see any reply for about two days, I gave up.
Just found your reply message today, sorry about that and thank you for your time.
The X5's battery replacement was done at NTB ($200), I don't know whether they charged the battery or not. When the car is running, I checked voltage, it is less then 14volts (as I know it should be around 14.5Volt). Yesterday I drove to NTB, ask them to checked it and they told me that the alternator need to be replaced (estimates $750). I am not sure if there will have something else need to be fixed after the alternator in order to resolve the start problem. My question is, is there anything that I can do by myself to check to see if alternator is really bad? I am going to ask other garage or even BMW dealer for the price of replacing an alternaotr. Anybody, any suggestions?
