Serpentine belt is one of the most important elements in cars, more than often owners ignore it. Each belt could last about 60kmi, but it does fail. If one only drives new cars, obviously no concerns are needed, however, if one drives an older cars, it's definitely wise to check it visually on every oil change. A broken serp belt on highway could lead to engine burnt out or transmission seizure, as it could cut the hoses off resulting in fluid running out.
Additionally, please check serp belt often
