It seems that they have many different types.
1. WRX STI 6-speed: planetary gear central differential with electronic clutch pack, 35/65 nominal torque split.
2. WRX automatic: planetary gear central differential with electronic clutch pack, plus limited-slip rear differential, 45/55 nominal torque split.
3. Other manual models: viscous-coupling central differential system, 50/50 nominal torque split.
4. Other automatic models: no central differential, uses Haldex-like system, 90/10 nominal torque split.
So apparently, not all Subbies are created equal either. The models that most Chinese people will likely buy have, unfortunately, a system like Volvo and Audi A3.
For the best AWD car, I would therefore recommend an Audi A4 or higher with 40/60 TORSEN center differential.
