What Aussie said about this Urghur Riot, worth reading

PooshWaltzer:

When "some people" have some time on their hands, they ought to take an extensive tour of the country, especially the provincial and rural establishments. Perhaps then, "some people" will be able to personally witness the numerous exclusive benefits, provided by the govt, which ethnic minorities are able to take advantage of over and above what's available to the Han majority. Enthic groups do not have the social interconnectedness as possessed by the Han majority which is the case for providing them with an advantage on the welfare side of the equation.

Such policy was designed specifically to integrate and incorporate minority ethnic groups into the demographic majority, ie. akin to our policy regarding the welfare of Indigenous Australians. Only through integration and consolidation can standards of living be aligned more equitably. However, separatists brand such action as cultural cleansing and a deliberate policy by the Chinese govt to eliminate socio-cultural diversity. They seek homogenous rights but refuse to accept any form of centralization. You can't win against these people can you?

Also worthy of note is Radeer's own agendas as a political advocate whose operations are conveniently offshore and without the reach of scrutiny given that her enemy is China whom obviously must be the antagonist by default. If she truly cared about the Uighurs and their cause, she would have remained true to those objectives like Aung San Su Chi and maintained her stance and presence by her people side. Instead she directs engages with political activists headquartered in Sweden from her American estate. How awfully devoted of her. Her CIA paycheck must surely incorporate an addition figure this year.

We know that there is active discontent in the fringe regions of rural China. In a nation of 1.3+ billion, does this come as a surprise? As per usual, the minority's idea of dialogue is to settle the score by detroying public property and engage in raging violence against the local community. And quite certainly the merits of economic progress and rapid social reform in the past 3 decades fail to allay the perception that the govt is still an agent of entropy.

As for the 150+ killed, how many were actually inflicted by the police and exactly how many were acts of murder/manslaughter enacted by the rioters? There's no information. Moreover, with regards to the June 26 killing of 2 Uigher workers in a Guangdong toy factory, was there any mention that the two men were also under investigation by public prosecutors for assailing and raping a Han woman? Things are more complex than what they seem. However, it's much easier to take the shallow stance and point fingers at the most omnipresent figure. That's what happens when you saturate granted democracy with blatant ignorance.
