I love it that you are very honest, so I am going to be honest too.   You have failed to look at the painting carefully. This is not a copy of a photo. I have carefully organized the space, captured the light and movement of the image. The warms and cools of the green colors are superb. The composition in this painting is also well considered.   You were off in you critiq.
