神用洪水毀滅人類（世界很多文化都有記載洪水）， 後來他對諾亞許諾不再毀滅人類，但他再次看到他親手造的人類的各種頑梗和邪惡，又不能毀約和食言！
聖經清清楚楚地顯示人類的罪孽， for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God （Romans 3:23）。 美國， 這號稱世界最好國家，天天上演種族歧視，毒品，槍支，非法移民，強奸，殺人，謊言， 欺騙等等。人都是一個德行！人類需要拯救。 耶穌（救贖主）的到來，血洗人的罪惡，使人與神調和。 沒有血， 就沒有神的寬恕。 舊約中的各種祭司活動很多圍繞獻祭各種無暇疵的牲畜。 由血祭天也是古代中國人的一種習俗， 去北京天壇看看就知道了。
我們是人類不是牲畜。 無暇疵的耶穌道成肉身。 替人類獻祭。 他在十字架死前說的一句話 ： "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit (John 19:30). 他對人類的救贖通過他的血成就了 -- it is finished。
聖經之所以令人欲罷不能就是它的 bloody honesty, it does not sugarcoat.
