2015 Halloween Costumes For Twins That Aren\'t Remotely Boring

While twins are commonly regarded as double the trouble, they're also double the fun. If you happen to be lucky enough to have had a partner-in-crime since the womb, try these Halloween costumes for twins that areanything but boring. Don't get me wrong: I'm definitely all for Thing 1 and Thing 2, but it's time to put two brains together (see what I did there?) and come up with a costume you'll be remembering for years.

For as long as I can recall, I have always wondered what it would be like to have a twin. As the youngest of five, I was always the baby, either insanely spoiled when I was younger or ordered around as I grew older. I often thought about what it would be like to have someone to split the responsibilities with me. This is probably why my first imaginary friend was actually "my twin." (Side note: I'm honestly a little ashamed of how long I had this imaginary twin for.)

Luckily, my sister — who is three years older than me — and I look pretty much identical. Everywhere we go, we're asked if we're twins. We even came up with a fake story that we actually are twins, but that my parents just hid me in the closet for three years. Check out the twin costume ideas she and I have been thinking of orchestrating in 2015 (even though we're fake twins, shh).

1. Mary-Kate & Ashley, Then & Now.

Is there a set of twins more iconic to Millennials than Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen? I'm pretty sure everyone I knew back in the day was obsessed with these two and their life-changing films (why didn't they win an Oscar?). I mean, Passport To Paris essentially taught me how to flirt. And Billboard Dadgave me some serious house envy.

To get the perfect Olsen twins look today, dress in all black, duh! These two rock the demure look like no other. A long, black frock is insanely stylish andeasy to find. This is one of those costumes you'll wear over and over again, even in real life. Don't forget to add a middle part, of course.

Plus, think about how warm you'll be in this?

Even more fun than dressing up as MK and A circa 2015, however, is dressing up as MK and A in their earlier years.

Serious nostalgia, amirite? Pair these '90s-inspired chokers with small-rimmed sunglasses (best found at vintage shops, or like, the depths of your closet), throw on some hair clips, add on some shiny lipstick, and you and your twin are basically there.

In case you can't score that sweet pink jacket, denim is always a good idea.

2. The Emoji Dancing Twins

OK, so maybe this costume has been done time and time again, but it's for a reason: It's so darn cute, and so ~2015~. Plus, it's super low-maintenance. Chances are that finding the pieces of this costume will be super easy.

With a deep V like this one, you will both be rocking one of 2015's favorite trends to boot.

Everyone loves a little nostalgia, and "Spy versus Spy" is the epitome of that. A wordless comic published in Mad magazine, these two agents were completely identical, except that one wore all white, and the other all black.

What's cooler than dressing up like a spy? Nothing, I say.

Beyond the "Spy versus Spy" costume, this is one chic hat to add to your collection.

If you two really feel like going all out, both costumes are available on Amazon. You'll definitely scare one or two people with these ensembles.

4. Conjoined Twins

While you can't exactly share one body, you can share one shirt (or use velcro to connect and separate easily).

Here's where your crafting skills come in: Use some fabric glue to stick on some velcro on you and your twin's dresses.

This is probably one of the easiest costumes out there to put together.

5. Left Shark

I'm pretty sure I went into cardiac arrest when I saw Katy Perry's performance during the Super Bowl. Left Shark quickly won all of our hearts, so this year why not take this love and double it with your twin?
