The French label Sessùn is a fashion editors' favourite. With prices starting from £50, the brand is an excellent go-to for chic T-shirts, jeans and cover-ups.

In the shade

Acne Studios has launched its first full range of sunglasses, featuring unusual designs and colourways that are creative and bold. Our favourite model is the snazzy Sigmund.

Refashion clothes for free

Sustainable style start-up Clotho is setting up an eco-friendly sewing factory for 24 hours at London's Google headquarters. Having made their green credentials collecting and refashioning unwanted clothes, Clotho is now inviting those with heaving wardrobes to come and sew new life into their own garments. Needle and thread novices welcome.

A candle that makes scents

Jo Malone's blooming scent of an early summer garden (think rhubarb, lilacs and roses) not only delights those counting down to the sunny season, it supports the brand's charity garden initiative. The full proceeds of every candle sold will help care for and cultivate the beautiful green enclosures designed to improve those living in deprived situations.

RSVP to RSPV

Stylist and fashion consultant Pippa Vosper has just launched her very own store - RSPV, which stands for Ressurected Season by Pippa Vosper. The unique concept allows you to buy past season collections and runway samples at a fraction of the retail price from a different designer in residence for one month at a time, the first is Vilshenko.

& Other Stories X Vans

Vans has lent its classic slip-on trainer styles to Swedish retailer & Other Stories in a collaborative spring collection we're going dotty over. The arty monochrome palette features on three pairs of shoes, shirt dresses and other work-appropriate basics. The fun campaign, featuring Daphne Selfe and older model Flo Dron, is our favourite part; and proves the collection really is ready-to-wear for any woman.

Fantastic Mr. Fox

The chocolatier Maison Pierre Marcolini has joined forces with the fashion brand Maison Kitsuné to create these gorgeous fox adorned bento boxes full of chocolate treats.

Frame's Fit Brides

Brides-to-be should put Frame's unusual take on a bridal fair in the diary for May 9. With no dresses or table centrepiece ideas in sight, the dance studio invites ladies to take part in taster sessions with personal trainers, dance instructors and meditation gurus - each focusing on feeling great on the big day.

Lost Property

Spring always calls for a pastel-coloured bag, and the baby-blue Arlington rucksack by Lost Property of London has caught our attention.

Lunchtime meditation

Busy Londoners can seek solace at the Connaught's Aman Spa, which is offering complimentary daily 20 minute mindfulness meditation classes over lunchtime. Designed to help cope with stress and anxiety in the workplace, the 1pm class is a haven away from office desks.

Spring skin workout

In collaboration with Selfridges' FaceGym, Clinique is offering complimentary mini spring clean workouts before midday during the month of April. Choose from five options designed to deep clean, sculpt, cleanse, eliminate toxins or bring out a healthy glow.

Decor flourish

One of Iumi's wooden pendant lamps would create a lovely focal point in any room. Made from birchwood, they come in either a globe or a cone shape.

Pringle's bicentennial milestone

Celebrating the brand's 200th birthday as one of the first luxury knitwear manufacturers, Pringle of Scotland is telling its story through film, photographs and a plethora of archive knitted pieces at the National Museum of Scotland. From its roots as a small hosiery brand to its relevance in the fashion industry today, there's a lot to learn about the knit stalwart.

Light the way

For its annual Earth Month, which raises money for people around the world without clean water, Aveda has created a limited-edition candle, £16, and is hosting weekly yoga. For a £5 donation, experience a blissful session with Nahid de Belgeonne, the founder of Good Vibes Glow Yoga.

Cut from the past

The exhibition Vivienne Westwood: Cut from the Past at Danson House, Kent, is a wonderful insight into the 18th-century art and fashion that have influenced the designer.

Savage Beauty

Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty is on course to become the Victoria & Albert Museum's most popular exhibition ever. The largest retrospective of McQueen's innovative designs has already broken the museum's record for the most ever advance sales for an exhibition. Don't rely on the additional tickets and extended run though;

Another McQueen date for the diary

To coincide with the V&A's major retrospective Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, London's Fashion Space Gallery is hosting the first ever exhibition exploring the designer's choice of catwalk make-up. On display at Warpaint: Alexander McQueen and Make-Up will be 22 looks from 13 collections demonstrating amplified, unconventional and pared down beauty. Prepare to be blown away.

Sonia Delaunay's colour spectrum

Her true passion was painting, but as Tate Modern's latest must-see retrospective shows, the sublime colourist Sonia Delaunay was a woman of many talents: Gloria Swanson was one of many who wore her geometric fashion designs.

Seventies style inspo

The late designer Thea Porter was a pioneer of boho chic, dressing everyone from Faye Dunaway to the Beatles in exotic textiles. See a collection of her work in a retrospective at the Fashion and Textile Museum, London SE1, until May 3.
