Location Checklist
1 Would I want to spend time in the area?
2 Are the people who regularly come to the area likely to become my customers?
3 What attractions does the locale have already?
4 Are the nearby space rented? For how long? Would my shop be isolated?
5 Is it near public transportation, highway, and/or parking?
6 Are there any zoning restrictions—hours, signage and lighting, parking, or outdoor activities such as selling from the sidewalk—that might make it difficult to succeed?
7 For security consideration, is the space easily visible?
8 Do I have any other location options?
9 Can I create the feeling I want without a major transformation?
10 Is there room to store my merchandise? To have an office off the selling floor?
11 Can I fill the space without spending more than I can afford?
12 How long is the lease? Are there renewal terms? Is there a holdover clause?
13 Is there a clause covering business interruptions—if business is slow; if competition opens or a nearby major attraction leave?
14 What will I have to pay in addition to rent?
15 Is there a nondisturbance clause saying that I can’t be forced to move or sign a new lease if the building is sold or undergoes foreclosure?
16 If my renovation makes the space more desirable, will I receive a rent decrease? Will I have to return the space to its original condition before I leave?

營造良好的店內環境
l展台和展台之間留出足夠的空間,給客人舒適的感覺。
l合理利用空間布置貨架,確定在最下層的貨物容易被客人看見,最上層的貨品方便被取下。
l收銀台的位置是員工放眼能方便看到店內情況的地方,在收銀台旁邊放置能引起顧客購買欲望的貨品。
l在店內設可供客人休息的座椅,為孩子們和不喜歡購物的男士提供可閱讀的書報。
l如果你的客人是小朋友,請別忘記提供相關的兒童保護證明。
l為方便客人購物,設置衣包架和傘架。
l飲品、餅幹和小點心拉近主客關係的小竅門,背景音樂也很重要。
l衛生間的清潔程度能直接檢驗出一個店的衛生指標,細節的關注和店內其他地方同等重要。
l在店內最容易被客人看見的地方放置你店裏的退貨製度告示。
l店的作息時間表應帖在店的正門上。
