I am standing at the entrance to the veranda of my mother’s beautiful home watching the grey rain clouds in the sky. The sugarcane beyond is swaying in the wind. I can smell it, that sweet smell of rain that I have only experienced in my beloved Kenya. My father’s cattle are thundering into the kraal. I am at peace. I am home. Lord, hear my prayer, when I am done with my studies all I want is to be back home, back in Africa where my soul is at peace..

歌手簡介

音樂家Ayub Ogada生於肯尼亞的蒙巴薩島，除了歌手的身份之外，Ayub Ogada還演奏傳統的東非弦樂，是個非常有才藝的表演者。1979年，他組建了African Heritage 樂隊，表演了多年的架子鼓、貝斯和打擊樂器。隨後（1986年），Ayub Ogada去了英國倫敦，並於1993年錄製了專輯 En Mana Kuoyo ，該專輯由Real World唱片公司發行。接下來的十多年，Ayub Ogada一直在英國發展，創作了大量的影視音樂，直到2007年再次回到肯尼亞。（網上資料）
