也許你會問：“嗯，這麽熟的旋律和節奏，好像在哪聽過？”，在shoping center？機場？酒吧？餐館？還是你在開車的時候從收音機傳來的？

前幾天在西班牙Malaga開車轉悠，找路去Picasso 畢加索博物館，一路我隻會“Holla（你好），Holla”地問路，當然還要charming， 熱情的西班牙人隨之嘰裏咕嚕地“唱”一大通，都沒有停下來的意思，我隻有耐心和禮貌地聽他們“唱歌”，仔細看他們的手勢，他們偶爾夾雜一兩個和法語發音相近的詞也可以幫我們連蒙帶猜，正當發愁時，忽然收音機傳來這一曲輕鬆愉快的音樂，Mika的《 Relax, Take It Easy》，“ok, 放鬆，別緊張！”音樂還真靈，開著車左拐右拐，一會兒就到畢加索博物館附近了。

Mika是一位年僅25歲就聞名世界流行歌壇的音樂奇才，英俊帥氣，22歲成名，集歌手，自己作曲，作詞，音樂製作於一身。

Mika，原名為Mica Penniman 出身在黎巴嫩貝魯特，母親是黎巴嫩人，父親是美國人，家中五個孩子，Mika 排行老三。 一歲那年Mika和家人被迫離開戰火的家園，遷居巴黎，九歲時又隨家人移居倫敦，在倫敦的法語中學就讀，在學校備受同學的歧視（bully），而且患有失讀症（dyslexia）， 11歲時曾不得不中斷學習， 在家由母親教課6-8個月。最後竟還能考入Westminster School， 一所比Eton伊頓還好的倫敦男孩私立中學就讀， 而後在英國皇家音樂學院學音樂。

比起其他患有失讀症（dyslexia）的人，Mika 是很幸運的。

Mica Penniman (born 18 August 1983), known as Mika (pronounced /ˈmiːkə/), is a Lebanese-born, London-based, Grammy and BRIT Award-nominated singer-songwriter who has a recording contract with Casablanca Records and Universal Music. He rose to fame around the end of 2006 and the start of 2007. Some sources[1][2][3] note his birth name as Michael Holbrook Penniman.

Mika was born in Beirut, Lebanon, the third of five children born to a Lebanese mother of Syrian-Lebanese descent and an American father. When he was a year old his family was forced to leave war-torn Lebanon and moved to Paris. After listening to Nirvana's "Heart-Shaped Box," he wrote his first song, which he describes as an "awful" piano instrumental called "Angry". The family moved to London when he was nine years old. In London he attended the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle where he experienced severe bullying at school, had problems with dyslexia and experienced a break-down at age 11, so he was home-schooled by his mother for six to eight months.[3]. He then attended St Philips School in Kensington. Later he attended Westminster School and the Royal College of Music, which he left to record his first album at Casablanca Records.[4]

He slightly altered his given name, Mica, changing the "c" to a "k," because he was frustrated by how often people would mispronounce it.
