Misplaced Heart

Could you tell me where to find my heart
I must have misplaced it right from the start
I've been searching ever since and came up without a clue
Perhaps it's in your pocket or somewhere not far

If only by chance you have it
Do you carry it around with a smile on your face
Or does it ease your mind when things go the wrong way
Please please protect it and keep it safe from day to day

Take it with you when you travel around
And put it in a special place that can be easily found
Place it beside your snoopy at night
And always try to hold it within your sight

When it comes that you ever need to leave it unguarded
And feel as if it could be lost or fade away
Hold onto it and feel your heartbeat in sync with mine
It's something to be treasured and never to go astray
