Molded by forces innate and accidental

Buenos Aires invokes a wordless impression

Like a faded flower waiting vainly to reblossom

Faces apathetic yet unpredictably explosive

Buildings eclectic yet singularly vibrant

Life here seems to hide from a fake facade and flourish somewhere unseen

Like a ship without compass

This South American metropolis is destined for a future

Adrift between her colonial past and indigenous present

With undying passion, volatile temperament, and wounded pride
