While wandering in a rainy old town during my latest trip to the SEA, I made a new resolution for myself: to enjoy our vicinity more. What I realized was that we often travel to other parts of the world for sightseeing, etc., whereas we tend to neglect the rich natural and cultural heritages right in the vicinity of our homes. What a waste! Shouldn't we be wiser and take full advantage of what is already within reach daily or weekly? In other words, if we pay attention, we can live more richly, and the best part is, without having to travel far and all the associated tasks. I surely believe this would be a great change in our lives. Since 2014 can no longer be claimed to be new, I consider it my "old-year resolution", which should never expire, though.
