I am a fan of Nate Ruess, who has only several songs on Youtube, but his magnetic voice persistently calls my attention( I am not a gay), particularly this song he made with Pink, I believe would make some people cry at night.
The background is dark, misty and dreamy. Pink is on a mattress floating on water, confused and testy. Throughout the show, she was kissing a different guy, sometimes beside her, sometimes disappeared altogether, to represent a dream or a feeling. At the same time, her partner (Nate Ruess), is inside a TV box, a world away, innocently yelling "I am sorry I don't understand where all of this is coming from, I thought that we were fine...." See, this is how men read women and this is how women react. She sings back "Yeah, this is happening." I think she is trying to say, "Why are you so dumb? Can't you see, I love someone else?" In a desperation, her partner (Nate Ruess) is trying to reason with her, "...We have everthing, you are running a wild dream...." Obviously, she is not convinced, because the third guy shows up in her bed again, and her partner (Nate Ruess), thank God, finally manages to get out of the TV box, arguing with her face to face. But as you can see, it won't end up well. The odds he could win in a duel with a guy whose body is covered with tattoo is zero. I just love the song and hope you enjoy it too.
