I used to think that with "things", we should try to make them perfect; but with people it is good enough to be just decently good. Now when I am getting old, I have realized that even with "things", it is not necessary for us to always try to make them perfect.

I thought the readers/audience, along with Tolstoy, considered Anna innocent and were on her side. And I had been pretty puzzled about that, for I always believed that one shouldn't ask for everything and no one deserves to possess everything. I am now finally relieved after listening to Knightley's interview -- I knew I am not alone. :-)
