Pep talk, 意思是給別人打氣的動員講話。

"A half-time pep talk from the coach helped the team turn the tide and win the game,"
中場休息時教練的動員講話讓球隊反敗為勝，贏了比賽。

不久前，為推動美國國會參議院通過醫保改革議案，

"President Obama gave the Senate democrats a pep talk, urging them to make history by passing the health care bill,"
奧巴馬總統對參議院民主黨人發表動員講話，敦促他們通過醫保改革議案，創造曆史。
