Just before the new year, I ran into this phrase "hunker down" and had to resort to Wiktionary to make sure I got it right. Do you know it? What about the word "hunker"? The definitions given by Wiktionary are pasted below for easy reference.
Next time, when some friend disagrees with you on some forum such as this, will you hunker down and insist on your opinion? Or, will you listen to the other side?
