I had an arrest record (no real arresting), and the charge (misdemeanor -- harrassing phone calls) was dismissed. I wonder if this would affect my parents' application for visa. Would the visa office in Shanghai check my crime record before granting them the visiting visa? If so, what can I do to maximize their chances of getting the visa?
Also, what documents should I provide and should they provide for visa application. They came to visit in 2004. I wonder if the regulations have changed since then.
