I'm one of 2 votes who "give up".
I briefly watched the first debate. I was very surprised that, O doesn't have clue in term of economy, business, etc. I was prepared but still impressed because, as stupid as B, he could still keep talking irrelevant stuff, rather than to behave so defeated.
I have to confess that, I watched the 2nd debate even more briefly. Only several minutes, then I couldn't take it, then switched to another channel, and very quickly fell asleep on sofa. Let me focus on R.
R: China is the biggest currency manipulator. WQ: Fact is, US is the biggest manipulator in the world. After that, maybe Japan?
R: China is not playing by rules. They take advantage of artificially low exchange rate. WQ: RMB has been going up, substantially over the past years. As result, that margin has been squeezed to almost none. The key is, China is the last assembler of all stuff from Japan, Korea, Taiwan Providence, Indonesia, etc. The so-called surplus is big on top line, but miniscule on bottom-line.
R: I believe US people can compete with anybody. O: Some jobs are not coming back. WQ: At least O is honest. Again based on my personal experience, 50+% of kids from certain big US city can't graduate from High School. Even if they graduate, they can't do simple math in head like my 9 year old son.
I have to give R a lot of respect in term of his experience as business person (entrepreneur), and governor (or Senator). He knows everything I know. The reason he says so, got to be, he has special agenda. So my take, which I borrow from some fellow brother or sister, one is 笨蛋, the other is 壞蛋. So I have to give up, even though it seems I have a choice, but not really. Using 砸缸少年's word, 愚 is better than 小, in the sense that s/he could do less demage.
