這段說的是一般人在講east bay的時候實際上都是說的這個所有人都接受的original （historical）definition，確實就是sf bay和san pablo bay沿岸城市，後麵的大east bay是非常隨意的變動的說法。接著看：

As development moves generally eastward, new areas are described as being part of the East Bay. In 1996, BART was extended from its terminus in Concord to a new station in Pitt*****urg, incorporating the newly expanded Delta communities of Pitt*****urg and Antioch as extended regions of the East Bay。

所以你一定要說antioch是east bay，也沒有絕對的錯，因為east bay根本沒有嚴格的法律上的定義，但是這不等於一般人說起來心裏沒有個數。大家說的主要還是original definition。房地產市場方麵，說起east bay的房子，一般人想的就是沿岸城市，是在city上班的人能住的，而不是extended regions of the east bay。

其實外地人愛去那種地方買就買嘛，把整體房價太高對我們當地人也沒有壞處。咱們隻是好心去提醒一下，人家還覺得我們煩。還是我們太傻。從現在開始隻說好。
