求助：體罰小孩被查,下麵會發生什麽？

上周情緒失控體罰小孩，留下痕跡。幼兒園看見傷痕，給 Social Worker 打電話。然後Social Worker 找到我，詢問事情經過並錄音，以決定是否有虐待兒童。我說是無意中傷及小孩。今天 city police investigator 又找到我，同樣詢問事情經過並錄音，以決定是否要 press criminal charge。 現在小孩還是和我一起生活。我被告知他們還要繼續幾天調查才會告訴我決定。

下麵會發生什麽？我現在該怎麽辦？
