A new offering in xAI was just listed on MicroVentures. The creator of Grok, the AI chatbot designed to answer questions with a bit of wit, plans to release its newest LLM, Grok-3, by the end of 2024.
Highlights include:
- Raising $6B at a $45B pre-money valuation, which is fully allocated and plans to close at the end of November
- Launched one of the world’s most powerful AI training system, Colossus, in September 2024 and plans to triple its capabilities by summer 2025
- Introduced an API for Grok in October 2024 which supports function calling and integration with databases and search engines
