8老師您好，今年我的H1b又沒有抽中，我現在的L1b的身份2021年5月中旬到期。綠卡(EB-3)的priority date 是2019/2/14. 現在單位考慮兩個選擇，

1，一個是到加拿大工作一年，然後以L1b的身份再回來。我現在美國，我想問一下如果去加拿大要申請working permit, 這樣的話要多久才能開始在加拿大工作。Working permit 下來之前可以開始在加拿大工作嗎？

如果我在加拿大呆到綠卡生效可以在加拿大美國大使館做綠卡麵試嗎？

-No. You need to go back to China to apply for the immigrant visa.

還是說要在加拿大找到一個美國的工作才行。-Yes, your current US company (I-140 sponsor) needs to agree to hire you back when you apply for the immigrant visa at that time.

2， 還有一個是管理一個人從L1b轉成L1a, 這樣L1b就多了兩年。我想問一下如果走這條路是不是存在風險，就是到了兩年之後2021+2=2023年的時候，綠卡有可能還沒有排到我（我看現在剛排到2016/4/15，表B也不能用了），

所以比較保險的方法還是兩年內還要一直抽H1b的簽。-Yes.  Another choice is that you work outside US (Canada or China) for one year and then, apply for another 5-year term L1B as your employer suggested.
