請問8老師和各位：
（1）何時申請H1B較好，需要先去大使館延期護照再申請嗎？
-Up to you. As long as the passport does not expires when you file H-1 petitition, then it will be fine. But you may new the passport in advance up to 6 months before it expires.
（2）有必要做premium processing嗎？
-Depends how late the H-1 petition is filed. If your OPT expires before your H-1 is approved, you have to stop working.
（3）offer letter上標注的start date是8月中，但是係主任讓我７月去報到，需要聯係HR修改offer letter上的日期嗎？
-Not need. You can asked the school to indicate the work start date (i.e. H-1 effective date) to be July on I-129. I-129 filing does not need job offer letter.
（４）cap exempt h1b 的生效日期也是當年的10月1嗎？
-No. It is the date indicated on LCA and I-129 by your employer.
如果我今年秋天遞交申請，是不是很有可能批不下來需要等到明年10月1號h1b才會生效？這樣即將過期的護照（2018.11）會影響工作簽證的申請嗎？
