（1）如果學校提供的合同是9個月，那麽從opt過渡到cap exempt h1b過程中是不是要特別留意h1b開始的時間？如果可以自行選擇h1b effective date，那麽
---------（1）-a）是否應該選擇opt結束日作為h1b生效期，亦即2018.6月正式開始h1b？
-You have the F-1 grace period of 60 days after F-1 OPT expires, so the H-1 effective date can be any date before the grade period ends. You are legal to saty in US during the grace period ot time, but you cannot work during this period of time unless your H-1 is approved and effective.

-No. USCIS does not care about your passport renewal.
