PAD - Peripheral Artery Disease, a condition where narrowed

arteries reduce blood flow to the limbs, most commonly the legs

Symptoms of PAD:

  • Leg pain or cramping during walking or exercise (called claudication), which eases with rest

  • Coldness in the lower leg or foot compared to the other leg.

  • Numbness or weakness in the legs.

  • Sores or wounds on the toes, feet, or legs that heal slowly or not at all

  • Shiny skin or changes in skin color on the legs.

  • Hair loss or slower hair growth on the legs.

  • Weak or absent pulse in the legs or feet.

  • In severe cases, gangrene (tissue death) may occur
