The Korean cars improved a lot in the past several years..

Based on my personal experiences. Their designs have surpassed most Japanese cars of similar price ranges. However, the quality control sometimes fluctuated. I have rented a Sonata before. The left fog light was not working. The odometer was only about 5,000 miles. But in general, I think the Korean cars are high in value/cost ratio, especialy the Sonata. If I need a new car now, I will put the new Sonata in the top of my list.
