天主教教宗良十四世（Pope Leo XIV）周六（11月29日）參觀土耳其伊斯坦布爾的藍色清真寺，期間未有祈禱。外媒指，此舉似乎讓梵蒂岡感到意外。

天主教榮休教宗本篤十六世（Pope Benedict XVI）與教宗方濟各（Pope Francis）分別於2006年和2014年訪問藍色清真寺，當時他們都麵朝東方進行片刻的靜默祈禱。而與前任教宗們建立的傳統不同，良十四世在參觀藍色清真寺時似乎沒有祈禱。

良十四世的決定似乎連梵蒂岡也感到意外，因為梵蒂岡此前曾表示良十四世將在清真寺進行“短暫的靜默祈禱”。
